Meet Christina

I got tired of waiting.

I’m Christina Fouse, founder of Probably Abroad. I’ve traveled to 49 US states and roughly 60 countries, and there’s still so much I want to see. I stopped waiting for someone else’s schedule to line up with mine and started going.

I love trying unfamiliar food, wandering through markets and getting to know how other people live. Somewhere along the way, I became very comfortable being uncomfortable.

Why Probably Abroad?

Maybe your usual travel partner can’t go, doesn’t want to go or keeps saying, “Next year.” I don’t think that should be the reason you stay home.

That’s why I created Probably Abroad: small groups of women exploring incredible places together. You can show up on your own, with thoughtful plans around you and room for adventure.

You don’t need a plus-one. You need a passport.

I’m not fearless.

I’m a Divemaster, I’ve studied underwater filmmaking and I’ve stayed at a Buddhist monastery in Taiwan. And I still get nervous.

Before one of my first dive trips, diving wasn’t what scared me. Traveling with strangers did. I nearly backed out, but I went anyway.

You don’t have to feel fearless to go on an adventure.

Do it scared. We’ve got you.

I’m in this too.

I’m doing the homework and building the trips, but I’m going on the adventure too. I want to see what’s around the corner just as much as you do.

My kind of trip includes local food, learning from the people we meet, plenty of laughter and somewhere comfortable to sleep. We’ll travel with curiosity and respect and support women-owned businesses whenever we can.

When I’m not spending time with family, reading, going down rabbit holes, exercising, or studying positive psychology, I’m… probably abroad. Let’s meet up somewhere unfamiliar!
